People, listen to me when I tell you this... St John is heaven. There can't be a place any more beautiful on Earth. It was almost physically painful to leave (despite the 12 hours of travel with a wicked hangover... rum is good - red wine is the devil!)
I even survived the hour or so drive home from the airport, in sub-zero weather, with no heat in the truck. Yeah. I was expecting a rude awkening when I came back but not a body check from the top rope. So, until I can completely
*sob*
I want to go back. NOW.

it looks like a fairyland! or a postcard! can it really be real? :)
The beach is Trunk Bay. It is world famous and gorgeous beyond words. I haven't even tried to describe it for fear of just plain old not doing it justice. The pictures don't really do it justice either. Warm breeze, the smell of flowers and salty ocean air... soft sand between your toes, the rush of the waves... oh I think I am going to cry now.
I haven't been there, but I have been to Nassau. I remember looking at the water and not being able to believe that it was really that blue.
The pictures are stunning. Glad you had a great time, but sympathizing over your withdrawal.
WOW!!!!
Love that shot looking down the beach...was the water warm? Reminds me of the time (or 2?) I was in Puerto Rico - nevermind, I don't remember (can we say Budweiser). Yes Susie, water really is blue.
MD - yes, the water WAS really warm. And wonderful and relaxing. *sigh* I need to get a fifth job or something so I can go back every couple of months.
