Who's getting an iPhone? Oh yeah, this girl!
Switching from Nextel to AT&T is going to save us close to $60/month and to me, that is well well worth it. Oh and they have better coverage over a larger area and I'm getting an iPhone. I blame the daddio for that one. I was enamored with his all weekend.
There will be no 5K for me. Registration closed and I was a big procrastinator and couldn't get in. Oh well. Off to find a different race to torture myself with.
I have not lost any weight (according to the dreaded scale) but when I put on my skirt this morning - it fell half way down my hips! Literally. I am a happy girl. Booyah! If that isn't motivation, I don't know what is. What is more impressive, that is after a day of gorging on chili and home made jalapeno poppers and chips and home made gluten free corn bread and veggies and buffalo chicken dip and oh I have a stomach ache thinking about it.
Saturday night, the Lieutenant and I went out for dinner with my parents. Then we headed to the local watering hole for some pool and drinks. It was a riot! I had so much fun and it was so amazing to see my dad, whom I don't usually see eye to eye with, being a dad! Hugging and laughing and encouraging and just being silly with me. It was amazing and put more bandaids on old scars than any therapist ever could. I like this side of my dad and even though there is a huge part of me that is sad I didn't have that growing up, I am so thankful that at least I get to experience it now.
This Monday isn't so bad after all!

Glad to hear you had a good time with your dad. It's nice when a parent stops being stubborn and starts being a parent.
I saw an ad for the iPhone last night that had an app where you can use it to make sure whatever you are hanging is level. Not sure how often you need a level but that's just seriously cool.
Jealous, jealous and jealous. And I thought having a Blackberry was the shazbot. Us proletariat have to mess around with Blackberries, while you upper class folk get an I-phone.
Glad to see the running and such are appearing to have their desired affect. Tis a good problem to have, that is, having to get new clothes cuz they be too big. Awesomeness!
Double awesomeness on your great dinner time with the Lt and the folks, especially with your pops...good to hear.
OK, that's it - my husband is officially not allowed to read your blog! He's been lusting after an iPhone so he'll have a cooler gadget than the technogeek son, and if he reads this, we'll be off to the AT&T store to switch carriers and spend too much $$$ on tech gear!
But congrats on the new toy. ;-) And definitely congrats on the newly loose skirt! Scales can lie - if stuff's fitting looser, you're either losing weight or firming up, and that's a good thing! (She says, guiltily putting the low-fat ice cream back into the freezer....)
My little one called me during the Super Bowl, crying because she was sick. I was at work and couldn't bring her the ginger ale or pedialite. She said that was okay, she just wanted to talk to me. (she has her own place)
Super Bowl? What Super bowl, after that I could have cared less about some stupid football game!
Glad you and your dad got to get together, I'm sure he felt as good about things as you did.
ooohh, I've been asking for an iphone for either valentine's or my birthday! I'm totally jealous!!!
Ha! Yes, I hear there is mass jealousy about my iPhone, I just hope that there are no major issues and you aren't wasting your energy being so green with envy! I will definitely be reporting back on the awesomeness or lack thereof.
As for time with my pops... yeah, those moments happen few and far between so trust me when I say, I enjoyed and savored every second.
