As of 7:35am today I am now a 26 year old. Scary. I still feel like I am playing house. Heh.
The weekend was insanely busy and I am getting more tired just thinking about it. Good thing there is the backspace button and caffeine.
Before I go, a little riddle for you...
What do you do with a paramedic that can't do basic c-spine and immobilization?
No really, what do I do with them?

tough one...
there's the mean option:
a) file a complaint with your state's EMT licensing board, or some similar agency about their mess up on a call. in our service, we can write an incident report if we have a problem, and it goes to the next chain of command, etc...until we feel like the complaint was satisfied. since you are now the captain, guess you are at the top of the food chain in terms of the service. If you have a direct complaint from someone, the EMT licensing people should be able to help you go through the process of having a complaint put on their record.
or there is the relatively nicer one:
b) invite them to teach an upcoming EMT class or refresher on C-Spine and immobilization. its kind of passive agressive making them remember the skills, but less nasty then making them take the actual class again.
Good luck!
holy balls i forgot your birthday. i suck as a human being and even more as a friend. you can divorce me now.
